Public Holiday Declared in 4 BTAD Districts on February 7

GUWAHATI: Assam state government has declared a public holiday on February 7 in the four BTAD districts to celebrate the Bodo Accord.

In a notification, the Governor of Assam stated that a Public Hoilday on February 7 in view of celebration of "Bodo Accord" in the Districts of BTAD-Kokrajhat, Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri for enabling participation of people.

It is to be mentioned that all state government offices within the jurisdiction of the BTAD Districts will remain closed.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shall be visiting Kokrajhar in Assam to participate in the celebrations of the signing of the Bodo Agreement, on the 7th of February 2020.
