GUWAHATI: A professor from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, has been detained by police authorities for an alleged rape incident.
The professor, identified as KV Srikanth, works as a professor in the Department of Mathematics at IIT-Guwahati.
According to reports, he was detained on January 5 after a complaint was filed in North Guwahati Police station on Friday.
