President Trump to Ink $3 Billion Defence Deal with India Today

GUWAHATI: US President Donald Trump announced the United States would improve defence pacts with India.

Further President Trump announced that the US would sign a $3 billion defence deal with India on February 25.

"I'm pleased to announce that tomorrow our representatives will sign deals to sell over $3 billion, in the absolute finest state of the art military helicopters and other equipment to the Indian armed forces," Trump said.

India and the US will sign two deals for 24 MH-60R helicopters for the Indian Navy and six AH-64E Apache helicopters for the Indian Army.

The deal to procure 24 MH-60 Romeo helicopters by India from the US at a cost of USD 2.6 billion and another to acquire six AH-64E Apache helicopters for USD 800 million from the US will be a major highlight of the Donald Trump's visit to India.
