GUWAHATI: Pragjyotish College has recently announced the cut-off marks for the undergraduate course of the current academic year 2023. The college has set minimum cutoff marks for various courses, providing aspiring students with an idea of the scores they need to secure admission.
For the Bachelor of Arts (BA), the minimum cutoff mark is 64.2%. In the Department of English, the cutoff is 79.4%.
For the Undergraduate course in Political Science is 76%, History is 63.4%, and for Geography, the cutoff mark is 63.6%.
For the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) program, the minimum cutoff mark is 63.8%. This indicates that students who have obtained 63.8% or above in their previous qualifying exams will be eligible for admission into this academic session.
For the Department of Economics, the general category cutoff is 65.4%, while for the ST category, it is 56.8%.
The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) has a higher cutoff, with a minimum requirement of 83.2%.
In the discipline of Anthropology, the general category cutoff is 63.6%. Students who meet this requirement will be considered for admission to the course.
For the Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Chemistry programs, the cutoff mark is 73%. This indicates that students belonging to the ST category who have obtained these percentages or above will be given priority for admission.
In the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, the cutoff mark for the Department of Chemistry is 71.2%, ensuring that SC students meeting this requirement have a fair chance of securing a place.
