GUWAHATI: The Central Guwahati Police District (CGPD) seized 150 pouches of ganja from one Madarsan Das on Thursday, September 19.

The confiscated drugs found in his shop weighed 2.087 kilograms.
The police swiftly carried out the operation, and legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused. The authorities have also reiterated their commitment to cracking down the sale of narcotics in the area.
Further investigation is underway.
Assam’s ‘War on Drugs’ campaign has seen about the arrest of over 14,000 drug peddlers and more than ₹2,166 crore worth of seizures in the past few years.
