GUWAHATI: A team from the West Guwahati Police District (WGPD), led by Fatasil Ambari Police Station, raided a gambling den located in the Ganesh Para area on October 30.
During the operation, the authorities confiscated various gambling paraphernalia and equipment used to facilitate these unlawful activities.
The seized items will be instrumental in further investigations, which are currently underway to identify the individuals involved and gather evidence related to the illegal gambling enterprise.
This action comes as a part of the ongoing #DriveAgainstGambling campaign initiated by the Guwahati police authorities.
This comes after a similar crackdown was launched in Gorchuk on October 29 in which five people were arrested.
Gambling activities tend to rise just before and during Diwali.
