Police In Assam Searching For Bombs Allegedly Planted By ULFA  On Independence Day

 

 

GUWAHATI: Police across several parts of the state are out searching for bombs reported to have been planted allegedly by the ULFA, on Thursday, August 15.

According to some reports, the outfit has planted atleast 19 bombs. A source in Assam police said a secret information was received that bombs are planted in many places across Assam and accordingly searches are being continued.

A senior official in Guwahati police informed that there is a suspected bomb near the transformer at Gandhi Mandap and police including the bomb squad are presently investigating the matter.

Similarly, bombs have allegedly been planted in the Satgaon, Bhetapara, and other areas of Guwahati.

As per sources, bombs have been allegedly planted in Dibrugarh of Upper Assam also. This is a developing story, further details awaited
