The Forest Department of Assam Government has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Isha Foundation to conduct a plantation drive on the banks of all the rivers of Assam.
Isha Foundation will plant trees on the banks of all the rivers of the state.
The move is an initiative to preserve the beauty of the rivers across Assam.
Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal was present during the MoU signing event, which was held today at Srimanta Shankardev Kalakshetra. Forest Minister of Assam, Pramila Rani Brahma was also present in the meeting.
