Pernod Ricard India Donates 20,000 Triple-Layered Masks to Assam Excise Dept

GUWAHATI: In a noble gesture, Pernod Ricard India Foundation has donated 20,000 three-layered masks and 20500 litres of sanitizers to the Assam Excise Department on April 28.

It is to be mentioned that this activity has been done as part of CSR Campaign to help support the front-line health workers and State Health Department.

Excise Minister Parimal Suklabaidiya, applauding the gesture said, "The Department, with the support from the various corporate friends of Assam Excise family, has been successfully able to support the government and the front-line staff engaged in the fight against COVID-19."

Sunil Duggal, Whole Time Director-Corporate Affairs, S&R and Corporate Communication said, "At this crucial time when COVID-19 poses a national challenge, we believe that urgent emergency resources need to be deployed to fight the crisis. 
We are committed to fill the demand-supply gap for preventive, protective solutions, including sanitizers and masks for all our health care workers and frontline workforce and we are happy to support the Assam Government’s efforts to control the disease spread in the state.”

Meanwhile, the minister has directed officials of the Assam Excise Department to ensure that these masks reach the police personnel in every district through the respective SP offices.
