Pakistani airspace is now open for commercial airlines after about five months since the Balakot strike.
According to a report by the Economic Times, Pakistan has cancelled the notam for its airspace wef 0038 IST, and consequential Notams by India have also been cancelled.
Flights have now been resumed to continue on their normal routes, and passengers and airlines alike, flying towards west of India heaved a sigh of relief as this news came to the front.

Indian carriers lost approximately Rs. 550 crore until the middle of June due to this closure and flight time for multiple flights increased by 45 to 90 minutes depending on various factors.
It should be noted that Pakistan had since February 26, 2019 extended the airspace closure to July 26, 2019 following an attack by the Indian Air forces on a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist camp in Balakot, after the Pulwama attack in Kashmir which killed more than 20 CRPF personnel.
