Opposition leader, Debabrata Saikia appeals students not to Boycott Classes

GUWAHATI: At a time when Assam is witnessing massive protests against the discriminatory Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016, students across the state are opting for boycott of classrooms as a form of protest.

In connection with this, an Opposition leader, Debabrata Saikia has appealed all the students not to boycott classes and said that students boycotted classes even during the Assam Agitation, which resulted in adverse long term results for the entire state of Assam.

Saikia further added that a society cannot progress or hold its own if its youths are not academically proficient.
