GUWAHATI: During his visit to Assam on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that only a chaiwala can understand the problems of chaiwalas.
The Prime Minister was speaking during a rally in Moran, which was also his first campaign rally in Assam ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
While addressing a massive crowd in Moran, Modi said “After decades, bank accounts were opened for our tea tribe brothers and sisters and many other schemes are being implemented to empower them. This Chaiwala assures that no one can take these away from them.”
He added that tea tribe people should not be worried as no one would be able to take away their benefits from them.
The Lok Sabha elections will take place in three phases in Assam on April 11, 18 and 23 respectively.
