GUWAHATI: In an accident at Bhaskar Nagar in Jorabat, an allegedly drunk person sustained minor injuries after a heavy vehicle grazed him while he was attempting to assist in directing traffic during a funeral procession on Sunday evening, January 12.

Speaking to GPlus, a traffic official from Jorabat Outpost said, "A funeral cortege was ongoing in the Bhaskar Nagar area of Jorabat, two allegedly inebriated individuals tried to help the procession by stopping the flowing traffic, but a heavy vehicle slightly stomped over one person. The injury was not major. He's been sent to medical attention. No complaints were filed."
The official confirmed that the injury was not severe, and the individual was promptly sent for medical attention. No official complaints have been lodged regarding the incident.
