GUWAHATI: An unidentified person died in a hit-and-run case at Boragaon along NH 27 late on the night of July 7.

The vehicle allegedly fled the scene after fatally striking the man, and efforts are on to track it down.
Preliminary investigations revealed the vehicle was last seen heading towards Gorchuk.
Speaking to GPlus, a traffic police official from Jalukbari outpost said, "The incident was reported at around 12:15 AM near the Ganesh Mandir adjacent to Apollo Excelcare Hospital. The vehicle fled towards Gorchuk and we are actively searching for it."
As investigation is on and further details are awaited.
