A lady identified as Sumitra Sharma was reported spot dead after being hit by a speeding train in the Narengi area of the city.
The deceased was a resident of Bonda.
Reportedly, she went out of her house to get flowers for holy rituals (Puja) at her home, and met with the accident while crossing the railway tracks.
The dead body was immediately taken to GMCH for further investigation, after which it was handed over to the family members.
