Officials of Central Ministries Donates 1 Day's Salary; Prepares for Normalcy Post Lockdown

GUWAHATI: Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension, Dr Jitendrajit Singh conducted a video conference to review the actions taken by the department to fight against COVID-19.

Reviewing the initiatives taken by DoPT during the period of lockdown and it's preparedness to bring normalcy after the lockdown is lifted, Singh informed in a press release that Grah Kalyan Kendras are working to stitch face masks, working from home.

Integrated Government Online Training (IGoT) platform has been rolled out for training workers in and outside the government on COVID matters.

Further a National Monitoring Dashboard has been launched on 1st April to address COVID-19 related grievances.The portal is //darpg.gov.in. Every state government has been advised to ensure disposal of such cases within 3 days of complaint. Grievances related to migrant labourers and essential commodities are given top priority. Daily report of these are to be given to the empowered group of ministers.

The portal has received 10659 public grievances as on 6th April.
In regard to pension, it was informed that the department is functioning completely on e-office. 

Apart from sending precaution information over SMSs to 4 lakh pensioners, video conference program for 100 pensioners with a doctor of AIIMS on 9th April, and yoga and fitness session on 13th April have also been organised.
This includes pensioners from across the country, as senior citizens are a vulnerable group.

It has to be mentioned that all officials of DoPT, DARPG and DoPPW have contributed one day's salary to the PM-CARES fund. Further Civil Service Officer's Institute (CSOI) has also contributed Rs. 25 lakh to the fund.
