The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a re-examination for 1,563 students, scheduled to take place on June 23, with the results expected by June 30. This re-examination will be specifically for candidates who were previously awarded ‘compensatory marks’. NTA had earlier on June 13 informed the Supreme Court of its decision to conduct a re-examination.

The re-exam came after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) lodged a First Information Report (FIR) concerning the NEET-UG exam held on May 5, following a complaint from the Education Ministry amidst student protests over paper leak allegations. The NTA then decided to cancel the first, opting for a re-examination owing to 'logistical reasons'.
