GUWAHATI: The NRC authorities of Assam is likely to start issuing the ‘Rejection Slip’ to over 19 lakh people excluded from the final National Register of Citizens (NRC) from March 20.
This was informed by parliamentary affairs minister Chandra Mohan Patowary while replying to a written query by Congress MLA Rekibuddin Ahmed in the on-going Assembly session.
It is to be mentioned that the final NRC was published on August 31, 2019 by excluding 19,06,657 persons.
