After liquor, the Union Ministry of Health has issued guidelines to all State Governments to make license compulsory for every shop selling cigarettes and other tobacco products.
Considering the health effects of the citizens of the nation, the centre has also made it compulsory for the shops to procure license for selling items like chocolates, and cold drinks.
The guidelines have triggered mixed reactions among the people of Assam. While some citizens seemed happy with the decision, shopkeepers seemed worried as it could bring a downfall of their business.
