GUWAHATI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) issued summons to former general secretary of Cotton University students union, Pranjal Kalita for questioning.
As per reports, Kalita is also a member of the student wing of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS). Reportedly, the NIA has summoned Kalita for questioning on Thursday.
However, it is to be mentioned that the NIA has not specified the case for which summons were issued to Kalita.
Further, the NIA has also arrested four other KMSS leaders including Akhil Gogoi, Bitu Sonowal, Manash Konwar and Dharya Konwar for their involvement in the anti-CAA protests which took place in different parts of the state.
