NFR to repaint train coaches for a new look and improved passenger experience

GUWAHATI: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has intensified its exercise to repaint coaches for its mail and express trains as part of the nationwide drive to give its trains a new look and improve passenger experience.

According to a report by The Assam Tribune, all conventional coaches in the zone will be repainted within the next two years.

The new colour combination includes the use of apricot yellow and blood red colour in place of the old pin craft blue and satin blue, which was introduced in the 1990s.

However, it should be noted that the new generation Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches are not part of the project as they have distinctive colour patterns of their own.
