GUWAHATI: In a thrilling kick-off to the Guwahati Premier Football League (GPFL), NF Railway SA emerged victorious with a commanding 4-0 win over Numaligarh Refinery Limited at Judges Field on December 10.
The first half showcased NF Railway SA's dominance, securing a three-goal lead. The standout player of the match, KC Lalchaumawia (08), displayed his experience by netting two goals in the 8th and 10th minute. Adding to the lead, Sibra Narzary (10) skillfully tapped the ball into the net in the 29th minute.
In the 86th minute, Kunal Gautam (12) scored a spectacular goal from outside the box, sealing NF Railway SA's 4-0 victory.
Despite their best efforts in the last hour, the men in orange from Numaligarh Refinery Limited couldn't find the net. Sonu Nahak (06) showcased impressive skills for his team, but unfortunately, his efforts were in vain.
On the blue side, Deraswar Narzary (14) displayed extraordinary performance, marking himself as a young talent to keep an eye on as the tournament unfolds.
