New Recruitment Policy For Grade-IV Staff Announced For Schools In Assam

GUWAHATI: The Government of Assam has announced a new recruitment policy for grade-IV staff in primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools. 

Under the new policy, unemployed youths residing in villages where the schools are located will be recruited on a merit basis. For higher secondary schools, recruitment will extend to youths from the respective panchayats.

In addition to the recruitment policy, the government announced initiatives aimed at incentivising the adoption of renewable energy and encouraging industrial investment. The state will provide slab-wise subsidies under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana to promote the uptake of solar energy solutions. Furthermore, a 30% concession on capital investment will be offered under the North East Industrial Policy.

The Chief Minister Atmanirbhar Asom Abhiyaan is also set to commence tomorrow, as announced by chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Additionally, steps are being taken to implement the Assam Electronics Industrial Incentive Policy and Assam Green Power Industrial Incentive Policy to attract new industries to the state.

Furthermore, the government announced the commencement of works for four sub-districts under the Kamrup (M) district starting tomorrow, with the remaining sub-districts in Assam scheduled to begin operations from July onwards.
