NEUFC Loses To Mumbai City FC

 

GUWAHATI: Mumbai City Football Club maintain their unbeaten streak. The visitors won the match against hosts North East United FC (NEUFC) 1-3 in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati. 

The visitors opened the scoring with Ahmed Jahouh from the penalty spot in 10 minutes. The host came back with an equaliser through Parthib Sundar Gogoi’s goal in the 17th minute. Mumbai City FC then scored 2 more goals, Bipin Singh Thounaojam and Jorge Pereyra Diaz scored respectively in the 28th and 46th minute for Mumbai City FC.

Mumbai City FC had twenty-two shots fired while NEUFC had ten. The Highlanders are continuing their bad run of form and sit at the bottom of the points table. 

NEUFCs next match is against Odisha FC on December 2, 2022.
