GUWAHATI: Interacting with the NCC contingent that participated at the 74th Republic Day parade in a city hotel on Friday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said NCC should be mandatory for everyone.
"Today, I interacted with NCC cadets and NSS volunteers who participated in the Republic Day parade. I am confident that the experiences they gained will aid them in their later years. NCC should be mandatory for all students," the CM said.
The NER Directorate NCC contingent representing NCC Boys and Girls cadets of the seven sister states of the northeast participated in the Republic Day Parade and PM's Rally.
A matter of pride for Assam was that the majority of the 120 NCC cadets came from the state's NCC units.
"Everyone has a unique story. The narrative is either one of victory or defeat. However, success is my friend, and failure is not. To accomplish our goals, we must exert significant effort. There are no shortcuts to success in life," the CM further said.
"While running our race for success, we should assist others whenever possible. "Since I am the chief minister, I can assist those in need," he added.
