These women, already trained and employed in the same sector outside the state, will now have the opportunity to return home with job placements in Assam itself. To support this, the state will arrange working women’s hostels in Jagiroad for all 1,000 workers.
Addressing the media, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "This will help those who are already working in the field and want to return to Assam. Arrangements for accommodation are also being made so that they can stay near the workplace."
