National Institute Of Pharmaceutical Education And Research Inaugurated In Changsari

 

GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) campus at Changsari on January 12. The inauguration ceremony was virtually presided over by the Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya.

The newly inaugurated NIPER campus, constructed at a cost of ₹157 crore, spans an impressive area of 27,688 square meters. This state-of-the-art facility is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing pharmaceutical education and research in the region.

The event also marked the inauguration of projects totaling ₹105 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Atmanirbhar Bharat in Health Infrastructure Mission (PM ABHIM). Additionally, an allocation of ₹150 crore has been earmarked for the upgradation of Assam Medical College under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY).
