GUWAHATI: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has secured another five-year term after winning a landslide victory in 2019 general elections.
The final results declared by the Election Commission of India declared that the BJP+ has won over 350 plus seats of the total 543 seats.

The prime minister took to micro-blogging site Twitter to thank the citizens of India for the win.
"Thank you, India! The faith placed in our alliance is humbling and gives us strength to work even harder to fulfill people's aspirations," he tweeted.
The main opposition alliance, which is headed by Rahul Gandhi's Congress party, has managed to secure 92 seats.

This year, there were 900 million voters eligible to take part in seven rounds of voting, making it the largest election the world had ever seen.
