GUWAHATI: Former Model Tora Khasgir has issued a statement regarding her husband’s arrest for allegedly possessing huge quantity of high-end synthetic party drug, Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD).
Talking to G Plus, Khasgir stated that her husband, Dr Reza Borhani, is being framed. “The police didn’t recover any drugs from his possession but from another man,” she alleged.
“My husband has been working since last few years to legalise medical marijuana in India. His company, “Cannabis Health and Science Pvt Ltd”, was on the verge of getting approval from government to bring in medical marijuana. He had several rival companies, who must have framed him after seeing his rise,” Khasgir added.
It may need to be mentioned that, according to the Cannabis Health and Science Pvt Ltd’s website, the company is just about seven months old.
Further Khasgir said, “He went to meet a person who needed information regarding the use of medical marijuana. The police have recovered the drugs from that particular person not Borhani.”
According to a report by a leading national daily, Borhani had received 1,551 LSD sheets in Assam, took a flight to Mumbai, where he was to deliver the drugs.
