GUWAHATI: A Monitor Lizard measuring 6 feet and 6 inches was rescued from Sila Karaibari under North Guwahati Circle at around 12 noon on Tuesday, August 20.

Talking to GPlus, a source in North Guwahati said, "The Monitor Lizard was caught in the residence of Ashik Ikbal and handed over to forest department after communicating to the Guwahati zoo."
However, talking to GPlus, a forest official said, "Now the lizard has been sent to the zoo for medical examination."
