GUWAHATI: Moderate rainfall is expected in parts of upper Assam and Arunachal Pradesh over the next few days, according to a weather report by the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) on Monday, January 13.

This rainfall is likely to provide temporary relief to areas experiencing dry conditions, though other parts of the region will remain mostly dry.
Additionally, dense fog is also expected in specific pockets of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Manipur in the coming days, which could affect visibility during early morning hours.
Meanwhile, minimum temperatures are likely to fall by 2–3 degrees Celsius across Assam and other parts of the region, while no major changes are expected in the maximum temperatures.
Authorities have advised the public to stay alert for foggy conditions, especially during the early commutation hours.
