Meghalaya’s “Church of God” gutted in blazing inferno

In a tragic report that came out on the wee hours of Sunday, one of Meghalaya’s oldest Churches, the “Church of God” was burnt to the ground. Initial investigation has revealed that the fire started due to a short circuit.

The Church, located at Qualapatty is one of the oldest in Meghalaya and is an iconic landmark for the state. Adding to the woes, the inferno also claimed the lives of 2 people.

Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma posted a message on his social media account about the huge loss for the state and its people.
