GUWAHATI: Two timber bridges over the Bandra river at Morop Bajar and another at Makalgonchu in Meghalaya washed away due to the flash flood caused by incessant rainfall on Wednesday, June 8.
This was informed by the West Garo Hills Police on Twitter.

Last night, two timber bridge i.e., one at Morop Bajar and another at Makalgonchu, both over Bandra river under Kherapara OP jurisdiction has been washed away
Stay away from rivers and streams pls,” West Garo Hills District Police tweeted.
This comes after the India Meteorological Department warned the north-eastern states of continuous heavy rainfall from June 9 to June 13.
Earlier, four people, including children, had died due to landslides caused by heavy rains in Meghalaya in two separate incidents in the last few days.
