A massive fire has been reported at Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH). The fire has led to intense chaos among the patients and their relatives.
According to preliminary reports, the fire started near the ICU for new born babies. The fire was reportedly caused due to a short circuit, however, an official statement from the fire department is awaited.
The GMCH currently houses more than 1000 people. The fire has been brought under control by the fire department
