GUWAHATI: The body of a man was found floating under mysterious circumstances at Sukreshwar Ghat on Thursday, April 3, triggering concerns among locals.

The deceased has been identified as Jiten Das, a 50-year-old resident of the city. His body was first spotted by locals at around 4:30 PM, following which they alerted the police.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from Panbazar police station said, “The body has been sent for post-mortem. No suicide note was found. We are looking for other possible leads.”
The circumstances surrounding Das’s death remain unclear, and authorities have launched an investigation to ascertain whether foul play was involved. Further details are awaited.
