GUWAHATI: A man has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing his 13-year-old stepdaughter in Kahilipara, Guwahati. The accused, identified as Jannur Ali, originally hails from Mandakata.

According to police sources, a formal complaint was lodged on Tuesday, April 1, following which officers from the Bhagaduttapur outpost took Ali into custody.
“Based on the complaint, we apprehended him, and he is now in judicial custody,” an official from the outpost told GPlus.
Further investigation into the case is underway, and more details are awaited.
