Lokageet Samragyi of Assam Dolly Das passed away on Tuesday night after suffering a heart attack.
The artist, who was 67 when she died, breathed her last at around 2:30 AM at Assam Medical College & Hospital.
The artist had performed multiple songs with Usha Mangeshkar, Anup Jalota, Lou Majaw and many others. She also wrote many books on Assamese folk music. Her death is a great loss to the Assamese cultural fraternity.
