GUWAHATI: Barpeta MP and senior Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) leader Phani Bhushan Choudhury was admitted to a private hospital in Guwahati due to respiratory issues, on December 25.

The veteran politician reportedly experienced breathing difficulties and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention. Hospital officials reported that Choudhury's condition has stabilised following treatment, though he remains under close observation as doctors monitor his recovery.
Assam Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah reportedly visited the hospital late at night to check on Choudhury's condition and received an update from the medical team. Speaking to the media, Baruah expressed confidence in Choudhury's recovery and assured that all necessary medical support is being provided.
