GUWAHATI: The Election officials have accepted the candidature of Congress nominee Anil Borgohain for Lakhimpur Lok Sabha seat as valid.
The returning officer of Lakhimpur constituency in an order has dropped the objection against him. Borgohain is the only candidate whose nomination was adjourned during scrutiny.
It is to be mentioned that earlier, his nomination was adjourned till 5 PM on Wednesday and asked him to submit valid documents regarding a suo motu objection.
