GUWAHATI: A pangolin was rescued by the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau here today and three persons were arrested in connection with it.
The Pangolin was rescued from Maligaon area of the city during a joint operation of the police and the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau.
The three persons, who hail from Dalgaon in Darrang district, had purchased the animal for Rs 1.5 lakh and were planning to sell the scaly mammal for Rs 40 lakh.
