GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday, March 2, confirmed that the Integrated Terminal at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport in Guwahati will be completed by the end of 2025. The new terminal is expected to boost regional connectivity and enhance the overall passenger experience at the airport.

Once completed, the terminal will increase the airport’s annual passenger handling capacity to over 13 million. To support the project, the Assam government has sanctioned an additional Rs 116.20 crore for the expansion of the approach roads to the airport.
During the Advantage Assam 2.0 exhibition, Sarma reviewed a scaled model of the terminal, where he assessed its design and the facilities to be incorporated.
