GUWAHATI: A day after the state government issued closure notice to educational institutes, state education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the government will take legal actions against those schools which remain open despite the order.
It is to be mentioned that allegedly a few schools in the city on Monday, March 16 remained open.
“We will take legal action against schools which do not follow the government order,” said the minister.
It is to be mentioned that the government of Assam had on March 15 declared all schools, colleges and universities closed till 29th March as a measure to combat coronavirus.
However, Sarma said that the education department has also issued a directive that government teachers will pan out to different villages in the state to create awareness regarding personal hygiene.
