GUWAHATI: Lakhimpur's Raktotpal Saikia has topped the Assam High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam with 597 marks. Saikia is a student of St Mary's High School from North Lakhimpur.
Out of the 4,05,582 candidates who appeared for the examination, 2,29,131 candidates passed.
A total of 65,176 candidates secured first division, 99,854 secured second division, and a total of 64,101 students secured third division.
Further, six students from the Kamrup Metro district have secured ranks in the top 10.
From Lakhimpur District, a total of 15,942 students appeared in the Assam HSLC Examination, 2022 of which 12,055 passed. The overall pass percentage of Lakhimpur is 75.62 percent. In Lakhimpur, 3262 students got first division, 5464 second division and 3329 students managed to get third division in the HSLC examination 2022.
