Kamrup Metro DC Conducts Inspection And Directs Swift Resolution Of Citizen Issues

GUWAHATI: In a recent move to assess the operations of the Dispur Revenue Circle, Sumit Sattawan, District Commissioner (DC) of Kamrup Metropolitan, undertook a visit to the office premises. During the visit, the DC engaged with citizens, addressing their concerns and grievances. He took note of various complaints and petitions, assuring citizens of prompt redressal while directing officials to adhere to established procedures.

The DC's visit aimed at understanding the functioning of the office and ensuring that citizen-centric services are delivered efficiently. Interacting directly with citizens provided him with valuable insights into the challenges they face, enabling him to take cognizance of the issues affecting the local populace.

This follows an earlier development when DC Sattawan conducted a meeting with Assistant Deputy Commissioners (ADCs), Assistant Commissioners, and Office Assistants. The focus of the meeting was on expediting the delivery of citizen-centric services under the Assam Right to Public Services (ARTPS) initiative.

During the meeting, the DC emphasised the need for a swift and seamless delivery of services. He issued clear instructions to officials, urging them to prioritise and expedite the resolution of citizen issues.

The ARTPS initiative aims to streamline public services and ensure timely delivery to citizens.
