GUWAHATI: In yet another incident of medical apathy in Assam, a video has surfaced on social media where a doctor can be seen misbehaving with a woman in Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH).
The doctor incessantly yells at the lady and refuses to see her patient.
“I won’t see your patient, do whatever you want,” the doctor yells.
The video is being widely shared on social media platforms and has received a huge backlash.
Sharing this video on Facebook, Nabajit Borthakur, a journalist from Guwahati, wrote: “Himanta Biswa Sharma sir, strict yet peaceful punishment must be meted out to this person. The health department has been uplifted, thanks to your efforts, people are now flocking to Government health centres. But you should not let the entire department suffer for few such ill-mannered doctors. Such ill-behaved doctors should not be suspended for a few days but should be de-registered.”
