Japanese, Korean, Nepali Language Courses To Be Offered At Tripura University

 

GUWAHATI: From the upcoming academic session, the University of Tripura will offer diploma courses in Japanese, Korean, Nepali, and Manipuri languages, according to officials. 

According to Joint Registrar M M Reang, the University's academic council recently decided to start one-year diploma courses in Japanese, Korean, Nepali, and Manipuri languages, as well as to open Post-Graduate Departments and Diploma Courses in National Security Studies, Social Work, and Manipuri dance. 

Tripura University currently offers diploma and degree programmes in the indigenous language 'Kokborok'

"After getting the approval of the University Grants Commission and the Union Education Ministry, the new courses and Departments would start," Reang said in an IANS report. 

He further stated that six Bangladeshi students are currently enrolled in the Central institution, which was established in 2007. 

According to the Joint Registrar, Bangladesh High Commissioner in India Muhammad Imran and Assistant High Commissioner Muhammad Zubaid Hussain, both located in Agartala, met with Tripura University Vice-Chancellor Prof Ganga Prasad Prasain and other top university officials on Wednesday, December 22.
