“Guwahati is bustling with energy and economic activity, but there is no planning,” Dutta noted. Despite significant government spending, he emphasised that infrastructure development is often poorly coordinated.
With roads frequently dug up after new flyovers are constructed and widespread waterlogging issues, Dutta expressed hope for a better-planned future.
Dutta envisions a "new Guwahati" emerging, particularly after the completion of a new bridge that could spark growth on the other side of the city.
Dutta’s wish for Guwahati is that it has larger roads, less traffic, and an end to waterlogging—common challenges that every citizen faces daily in the city. He stressed that regardless of one’s profession, everyone suffers from the same infrastructural shortcomings.
In addition to his comments on city planning, Dutta also discussed Gen Z, the future of MBA graduates, and his insights into startup success.
