IPL 2020 to be Played in UAE from Sept 19 to Nov 10

GUWAHATI: After much postponement, the uncertainty looming over Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 has finally been cleared, as the IPL Governing Council has decided for the league's commencement from 19th September to 10th November in UAE.

In a virtual meeting conducted by the IPL Governing Council on 2nd August, the same was finalized, reported All India Radio.

The matches will be played in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi after necessary clearance from the government of India. 

The 53-day event will have two match timings - 3:30 pm IST for the afternoon matches, and 7:30 pm IST for evening matches. 

The final match will be played on 10th November.

Meanwhile, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has announced that the Women's IPL will also take place during the men's league in the UAE. 

The Women's T20 Challenge will comprise three teams and will play four matches during the IPL Playoff Week.
