GUWAHATI: The anticipation and excitement of young hockey enthusiasts in Assam reached its peak as the Inter District School Hockey Tournament for the Under-17 category officially commenced today. The event, slated to run from September 15 to 18, 2023, is being held at the illustrious Maulana Md Tayabullah Hockey Stadium in Guwahati.
The tournament's grand inauguration on September 15 was attended by Gitartha Goswami, Member Secretary of the State Level Advisory Committee (SLAC), Assam, and Vice President of Assam Hockey, who brought an aura of prestige and sportsmanship to the event and Uday Borgohain, Senior Consultant at Olympia Sports.
Other guests present at the event were Dipak Bora, Subash Das, Ashok Choudhury, Rukmini Das and Harinrayan Choudhury.
