Former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi addressed the media at a press meet held in Guwahati on Wednesday.
Gogoi slammed the BJP government in the press meet saying, "BJP has failed in performing well in the State.”
He alleged that there has been a rise in the terrorist and insurgent activities in Assam saying, “The current government has failed in maintaining law and order in the State. They have failed in maintaining peace in the State, unlike the former government, which is why terrorist organisations and insurgents have once again risen in the state.”
He further added that BJP has utterly failed in the education and employment sector, stating that the employment sector in the hands of BJP is going to face dark future. There is no development in the economic sector as well, he said.
He also alleged that the Panchayats and Welfare societies are not working towards development and old age pension is not being provided on time.
